(June 12, 2025 – New York City) – The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) is pleased to announce an exclusive VIP Delegation to Vietnam, attending the 2025 ICF Global Summit in Binh Duong Smart City from December 2–4, followed by an extended business mission to Ho Chi Minh City from December 5–7. This experience will spotlight Vietnam’s remarkable journey as a rising global innovation and investment hub under the Summit theme: “Intelligent and Investment Ready: The Economic Transformation of Vietnam.”
Held in Binh Duong Smart City, the 2023 Intelligent Community of the Year, the 2025 Global Summit will convene global thought leaders, policymakers, technology pioneers, and economic developers to explore how digital transformation can drive investment, inclusive growth, and long-term prosperity. The program on December 2 and 3 will feature keynote sessions, workshops, and case studies from ICF’s Top7 Intelligent Communities of 2025. The flagship event of the Summit, the prestigious Intelligent Community of the Year Awards Dinner, takes place on December 3, where ICF will announce the 2025 Intelligent Community of the Year.
The Summit concludes on December 4, where attendees will embark on a curated site tour of Binh Duong’s innovation ecosystem, including Becamex’s industrial parks and social housing initiatives, the city’s digital command centers, and more to be confirmed.
Following the Summit, ICF VIP Delegates will travel to Ho Chi Minh City for an exclusive two-day extension, offering rare access to the city’s most dynamic technology districts, startup accelerators, and university innovation programs. The visit includes strategic meetings with business, government, and institutional leaders, as well as cultural experiences such as a river cruise dinner and historic city tour.
The VIP Delegation experience includes participation in the full ICF Global Summit and Awards Dinner, with a recommended arrival on December 1 for pre-Summit networking and an exclusive welcome reception with leaders from Becamex, the Binh Duong government, and the World Trade Center. Delegates will be accommodated in luxury hotels in both Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City and will take part in all organized activities, including site visits, keynote sessions, and community tours. The post-Summit extension offers in-depth access to Ho Chi Minh City’s innovation ecosystem, where delegates will meet with startup founders, institutional leaders, and the planners behind Vietnam’s most ambitious urban transformation projects.
“ICF has a tradition of hosting extremely successful delegations to events such as to Smart City Summits and Expos in Taiwan and Barcelona,” said ICF co-founder John Jung, who will lead the delegation in December. “This is the first time we will be exploring opportunities in Vietnam. Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City are transforming into some of the most innovative regions in the world. This business and economic development-focused mission will seek to leverage this evolution by connecting with many of the people and organizations at the heart of this transformation.”
This is a unique opportunity to connect with global peers, experience Vietnam’s economic transformation first-hand, and gain strategic insights into building intelligent, investment-ready communities.

About the Intelligent Community Forum
Starting in 2000 with a research project comparing cities in various nations, the Intelligent Community Forum (www.intelligentcommunity.org) created a unique, data-driven approach to development that puts citizens first while tapping the enormous economic and social potential of technology. In a world dominated by digital, ICF’s mission is to help communities create innovative, sustainable and growing economies, inclusive societies and affirming cultures open to the world. We do it for communities large and small – in urban clusters, outlying suburbs and rural places – through training, consulting, assessment, certification and award programs. ICF believes that digital connectivity and technology create the opportunity for almost every community to develop a dynamic local economy and the social and cultural strengths that go with it – giving them all a chance to be great places to live, work, learn, grow, raise a family and prepare a sustainable path for the next generation.
The Forum sponsors Institutes in North America and Taiwan dedicated to the study of the movement, and national organizations in Canada and Taiwan, both home to many Intelligent Communities. In 2012 ICF was invited to participate at the Nobel Peace Prize conference in Oslo and in 2014, its model and work were recognized by the U.S. Department of Commerce under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, which, according to the American government, was “aimed at creating a more flexible and responsive system of workforce development to meet the needs of employers looking to fill 21st century jobs.”
