Go to the Summit 2015 Toronto Web site for program, venues and registration.
The Summit is an international gathering of mayors, chief administrative officers, chief information officers and economic development officers from cities, state and regions around the world. It is a place to find economic development opportunities, strategic partners and technology solutions that help you build a prosperous, inclusive and sustainable community.
The 2015 Summit will take place in Toronto, one of the world’s top cities not only for business investment and economic competitiveness but for livability as well – and ICF’s 2014 Intelligent Community of the Year. Attendees will benefit from an expanded program that explores the projects, strategies and institutions of this major metropolitan area as well the cities and technology centers that surround it.
What Attendees Say
“Waterfront Toronto’s journey towards an Intelligent Community started in 2004 at the ICF Summit in New York City. That is where I first heard about the merits of an Intelligent Community. We quickly grasped that this could be a core element of our work to revitalize the city’s waterfront.”
- John Campbell
President and CEO
Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation
"Transition to an information society requires a commitment to change, and the need to adopt new networking practices. A group like ICF enables the sharing and exchange of best practices which promote sustainable community renewal and growth."
- Suvi Linden
UN Commission for Digital Development
"I use the Forum as my 'tipster' for where to look for community innovations in broadband activities and apps that the rest of the world will be emulating in a few years. The Forum never fails to teach me things I didn't know about places that are on the cutting edge."
- Lee Rainie
Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life
“The work of the Intelligent Community Forum to recognize, study and promote the advancement of communities is perhaps most important in places like Afghanistan, where access to the world’s information infrastructure and best practices will help determine the prosperity for our children.”
- Amirzai Sangin
Minister of Communications
“The Master Class was a powerful program that gave a diverse audience a view of our potential future and helped get everyone on the same page. The Intelligent Community Forum has become a key partner in our Digital Initiative in Walla Walla.”
- David Woolson
President & CEO
Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce
Since I started my work with smart and intelligent communities in 2012, the work of the Intelligent Community Forum was my first source of inspiration and it is still. The Forum shows how cities must capitalize on human intelligence in order to create economic prosperity, even during recessionary times.”
