創辦於1999年的國際智慧城市論壇（Intelligent Community Forum,ICF），宗旨為推廣全球寬頻經濟及運用資通訊科技的最佳城市案例，2015年在加拿大多倫多慶祝成立20周年，2017年2月9日在台灣成立ICF Taiwan，是亞洲第一、全球第二個成立的ICF區域性組織。

國際智慧城市論壇（Intelligent Community Forum,ICF），日前宣布2017全球7大智慧城市（TOP7）入圍名單，嘉義市以wifi熱點覆蓋率全國第二，為4G智慧城市全國示範點，從smart21擠進全球7大智慧城市TOP7行列。

嘉義市長涂醒哲說，嘉義市105年首度參與全球智慧城市評比，在全球400多個城市激烈競爭中脫穎而出，擠入前21強，第二階段評比更進一步，名列TOP 7，成為全球7大智慧城市，下階段嘉義市將再與其他獲獎的7個城市，角逐全球最佳城市。

Ipswich has been recognised as a global leader in the application of digital innovation to advance community prosperity and liveability after being named among the world’s Top 7 Intelligent Communities at a conference in Taiwan.

Mayor Paul Pisasale said the prestigious accolade was recognition of Ipswich’s ability to think global and act local, embrace digital technology and adapt to change.

WHY are we so smart?

That's the question the QT wanted answered after Ipswich made history to be named in the top seven intelligent communities in the world list by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) for the second time.

No other Australian city has received the honour.

IPSWICH has made history to make the top seven intelligent communities in the world list twice.

At the conclusion of 'The Internet of Cities Forum' in Taipei, Taiwan yesterday, the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) announced its list of the Top7 Intelligent Communities of the Year.

On February 9, 2017, Grey County was named one of the Top7 Intelligent Communities of 2017 by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF). The announcement was made at the conclusion of “The Internet of Cities Forum” in Taipei, Taiwan.

“We are incredibly honoured to be named one of the world’s Top7 Intelligent Communities,” said Alan Barfoot, Warden of Grey County. “This is an outstanding acknowledgement for our region. We face many unique challenges in our rural area and being named to the Top7 recognizes our community’s ability to face challenges head on and persevere.”

Nelson didn’t make the cut in the top seven Intelligent Communities of 2017 revealed today.

The Queen City did make the shortlist of 21 announced last October but got no farther.

Grey County has been named one of the top seven intelligent communities in the world by an international network of cities and regions known as the Intelligent Community Forum.

The organization focuses on how communities use technology to enhance economic development and quality of life.

Grey Warden Al Barfoot says it’s great recognition.

Grey County might be best known for its agriculture, outdoor tourism opportunities and abundance of snow in winter, but it is now receiving international recognition for its work to create a prosperous “broadband economy.”

The county has been named one of the world's Top 7 Intelligent Communities of 2017 by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF). It is now in the running to be named Intelligent Community of the Year, an award that will be handed out at a ceremony in June in New York City.

New York, Oct. 19 (CNA) Five cities and counties in Taiwan -- Chiayi, Keelung, Tainan and Taoyuan cities and Yilan County -- were named Wednesday among the world's Smart21 Communities of 2017 by the New York-based Intelligent Community Forum (ICF).

Also included were seven communities from Canada, four from Australia and one each from Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
