Nominations Open for the 2017 Intelligent Community of the Year Awards Program
Submitting communities will be entered into awards consideration and receive written report comparing them to ICF's global data set
(June 28, 2016 – New York City, NY, USA) – The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) is accepting nominations for the 2017 Intelligent Community of the Year Awards Program. The 2017 Awards Program run by the New York-based think tank will name the 19th Intelligent Community of the Year at the Intelligent Community Awards Dinner, taking place during the ICF Summit on June 8, 2017 in New York City. The Intelligent Community of the Year is a community that is a leader in creating inclusive economic prosperity, solving social problems and enriching quality of life using information and communications technology (ICT). The 2016 recipient was Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Rio de Janeiro’s Knowledge Squares Program Also Honored with Visionary of Year Award
(June 16, 2016 – Columbus, Ohio, USA & New York City, NY, USA) – The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) today named Montreal, Quebec, Canada as the 2016 Intelligent Community of the Year at a dinner ceremony in the prestigious Africa Event Center at the Columbus Zoo. The awards ceremony was the conclusion of the Intelligent Community Forum’s annual Summit. Montreal succeeds Columbus, which also was the host city for the 2016 ICF Summit, as the think-tank’s annual Intelligent Community of the Year. Also at the Awards Dinner, Rio de Janeiro’s Knowledge Squares Program was honored with ICF’s prestigious Visionary of the Year award.

Think Tank Launches First International Study of Intelligent Communities’ Performance in the “Broadband Economy”
(February 18, 2016 – New York City, NY) – The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), which hosts the annual Intelligent Community of the Year Awards, will launch a new, free community evaluation system called the Intelligent Community Index. It will provide any participating community with detailed feedback on its progress toward becoming an Intelligent Community. Former Taichung mayor and Foreign Minister Dr. Jason Hu named Visionary of Year at 20th Anniversary of Intelligent Community Movement
