ICF will be announcing the Smart21 Communities of 2018 on October 27 as part of the Silicon Harlem 4th Annual Next Gen Tech Conference. The conference will feature a diverse array of professionals from the private and public sectors, including technology, media, services, and government leaders.
In addition to making the Smart21 Announcement, ICF’s Louis Zacharilla, pictured left, will lead a panel discussion, Humanizing Data: How Intelligent Communities Arise & Awaken. Intelligent Communities are those which have – whether through crisis or foresight – come to understand theenormous challenges of the Broadband Economy, and have taken conscious steps to create an economy capable of prospering in it. This movement has spread to nearly 160 regions worldwide. They are not necessarily big cities or famous technology hubs. In fact, much of the real transformation is coming from the “no name” places on earth that are using the technology and ideas to race to the front.
Data is key to their growth. But humanizing the tools of data management is where the soul of the future will migrate. Representatives from Intelligent Communities around the globe will share their experiences and teach you how to make the place you call “Home” better and better.
The panel featuring leaders from the global intelligent community movement, including:
- Rui Barros, Head of Tri-State, WeWork
- Jack (Sheng-Shin) Chu, Ph.D., Professional Fellow, Weatherhead East Asian Institute
- Brad Ferguson, President & CEO, Edmonton Economic Development Corporation
- Andy Lee, Tech Investment Director, Government of Victoria, Australia
