(March 14, 2023 – New York City, NY, USA & Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, USA) – The Alliance for Innovation (AFI) and the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) announced today a partnership aiming to further advance the innovation potential of local governments in the United States and around the world. Through the partnership, AFI and ICF will exchange content, expertise and communication resources with each other’s networks.
The Alliance for Innovation, in collaboration with Strategic Government Resources, helps local governments anticipate change and adapt to it proactively. Its membership programs focus on providing members with foresight, innovation and collaboration.
“Through this partnership,” said AFI’s Interim Executive Director, Ron Holifield, “we aim to continue building the innovation toolkit of our members and share global insights into economic and community development in the digital economy our members have to navigate. We also welcome the chance to connect ICF’s global network with our growing US membership base.”
ICF is a research, consulting, and training organization pioneering new paths to economic and community development through digital technology for cities, counties, and regions around the world. In a world dominated by digital, ICF helps communities create innovative and growing economies, inclusive societies, and affirming cultures open to the world. Its work is based on 25 years of research with over 200 communities that have created a unique, data-driven approach to development that puts citizens first while tapping the enormous economic and social potential of technology. ICF delivers value through training and coaching programs, membership, networking community certification, events and an international awards program.
“AFI’s membership represents the individuals and teams that are fostering innovation in the operation of local government across the US, in every area from procurement and resident services to sustainability and economic development,” said Robert Bell, co-founder of ICF. “The opportunity to share expertise and best practices will add real value to both organizations.”
