ICF VIP Delegations are curated economic development journeys to innovative and growing cities and regions around the world. Each Delegation helps both mission participants and the host community to build the economic opportunities of tomorrow, from talent attraction and inward investment to first-hand experience with innovations that can transform their economies. We bring decision-makers, potential investors and influencers together to accelerate growth through investment and talent attraction, and related job development and retention. Organized by ICF and led by an ICF executive, ICF VIP Delegations deliver opportunities to–

• Attend events and award programs to learn best practices in economic, technology and community development
• Visit public, institutional and private-sector innovation hubs and technology development centers
• Meet and create relationships with business and government leaders
• Network with Delegation members, leading to partnerships and lead generation

Where, When and Why

ICF organizes Delegations in cities hosting Smart City and Intelligent Community Awards events around the world. They are natural meeting points for economic, community and elected leaders – and a natural opportunity for the relationship-building that leads to economic growth. We also organize customized VIP Delegations for local governments and other organizations – either inbound to their community or outbound from their community to other cities and regions. Such Delegations serve the goals of lead generation, partnership development or research into the successful application of technologies and solutions that are under consideration.
