Use Case | The Smart Mobility Development Opportunity

The city of Dublin marks one end of the US Route 33 Smart Mobility Corridor, a public-private partnership that has installed a fiber network and short-range communications transmitters along a 35-mile section of Route 33. The transmitters will communicate with 1,200 public and private test vehicles to trial connected-vehicle applications, autonomous technologies and traffic management systems. The same corridor will host research into a low-altitude air traffic management system for unmanned aircraft. Hear from project partners about the program's origins, objectives and initial successes, and its long-term potential for economic growth.

For the past five years, the Dublin Institute for the Study of the Intelligent Community has promoted the concept of Ohio as an Intelligent State, where Intelligent Communities and state-level programs coordinate and collaborate on advancing the region's economy, institutions and people . In 2022, ICF and the Institute began development of standards and an accreditation program defining an Intelligent State based on a broad range of data. Hear this progress report and gain insights from Institute and ICF leaders on what it means.
