Ontario Invests in Innovative Learning Facilities for Kitchener-Waterloo Students

Ontario is investing in renewed and renovated facilities at Conestoga College that will provide specialized training and programming opportunities for students in Kitchener-Waterloo, and better equip them with the skills they need for the jobs of today and tomorrow.

Daiene Vernile, MPP for Kitchener Centre was joined by MarwanTabbara, MP for Kitchener South-Hespeler and Raj Saini for MP for Kitchener Centre, at Conestoga College today to announce funding for the college's Pathways to Prosperity campus renewal project.

The investment from the province and the federal government will support the following projects:

  • Institute for Culinary & Hospitality Management - expanded classroom, lab and learning spaces and a new, specialized research kitchen to create more room for education, training and applied research.
  • Centre for Advanced Learning - a new centre that will expand existing space and consolidate programming in high-demand areas such as information and communications technology and business.
  • Access Hub - a new hub that will expand and consolidate guidance services such as career advice, academic upgrading and programs for job-seekers.
