Nelson didn’t make the cut in the top seven Intelligent Communities of 2017 revealed today.

The Queen City did make the shortlist of 21 announced last October but got no farther.

But two Canadian places are among the seven finalists: Edmonton and Grey County, Ont.

The top cities represent models of economic and social transformation.
