Each year, the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) Awards Program offers a series of high-profile events to inspire and connect leaders from across the globe. Mark your calendars for these key conferences in the 2025 Awards cycle, each hosted in an Intelligent Community renowned for its forward-thinking initiatives and unique contributions to the global Intelligent Community movement.
March 5–6, 2025: Smart21 Summit in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Kicking off the Awards cycle is the Smart21 Summit in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada - a 3-time Smart21 Community and 2-time Top7 Intelligent Community. Hamilton is a city of 520,000 people, known for industry, education and cultural diversity, having the third-largest foreign-born population in Canada.
Featuring a theme of Communities in Transition, this conference includes a full day of Plenary Sessions followed by an evening Awards Dinner Reception on March 6. The day before, attendees can also register for an optional Pre-Summit Community Tour, Indicators in Action, in and around local Intelligent Communities. The 5th will end with an evening Reception of the Arts at 7 Innovation Exhibition hosted at the Hamilton Technology Centre.

June 16–19, 2025: Top7 Conference and Announcement in Las Rozas de Madrid, Spain
In June, the spotlight moves to Las Rozas de Madrid, a municipality in the heart of Spain that exemplifies how a medium-sized community can punch above its weight in the digital age. Las Rozas has earned accolades for its commitment to sustainability, digital inclusion and fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem. Over the course of four days, the Top7 Intelligent Communities of 2025 will be unveiled, and attendees will have the chance to dive deep into how these cities have achieved excellence in economic, social and environmental dimensions.
Late October 2025 (Date TBA): ICF Global Summit in Binh Duong Smart City, Vietnam
The ICF Global Summit, the grand finale of the Awards cycle, will be held in the dynamic and fast-growing Binh Duong Smart City in Vietnam.
As a shining example of rapid urban development and smart city planning, Binh Duong has gained recognition for its commitment to sustainable growth, global connectivity and innovation-driven development. In October 2023, it was named the Intelligent Community of the Year.
This multi-day event will culminate in the announcement of the Intelligent Community of the Year, offering unparalleled opportunities to learn from and network with global leaders shaping the future of Intelligent Communities.
